Alexandra Hunter

Award winning Audiobook Narrator

My creative and artistic philosophies find the perfect home in audiobook narration. I love living in the world of imagination and storytelling and I revel in the opportunity to approach each project as a unique world. Each character, theme, and moment of narrative is an opportunity to communicate the honesty of the story and provide a consistent lens through which listeners can experience each work. It’s a dream come true to collaborate with authors, producers, and directors to give each book a larger platform and give readers a chance to disappear into a world that feels whole and vibrant. I have so much fun shifting my narration style to the tone of each project. Nothing makes me happier than hearing from readers that my narration felt true to the story and elevated their understanding of the text, or hearing from authors that I gave voice to characters that they had crafted so thoughtfully. It’s truly a gift to be given the responsibility of collaborator and storyteller and I would love nothing more than to get lost in the world of your story and share with readers what I’ve discovered there.

  • 2024 Audie Awards Winner -What Happened to Rachel Riley? By Claire Swinarski

Audiofile Magazine Earphones Award 2024 - The Atlas of Us By Kristin Dwyer

Alexandra Hunter narrates this complex exploration of grief with tender sincerity. Atlas James is utterly shattered by the death of her father, the only person she feels ever understood her. After a series of poor decisions, Atlas (newly rechristened "Maps") ends up alongside a group of total strangers in a community service project devoted to rehabilitating the wilderness trails that her father adored. Hunter's narration deftly interweaves the rawness of Atlas's grief and her sarcastic attempts to put up barriers against her fellow service hikers. As she is reluctantly drawn into a circle of camaraderie, and perhaps attraction, Hunter's tone shifts to display hints of the playfulness and humor that Atlas and her new friends exchange while learning about themselves and each other.“

Audiofile Magazine Review 2024 - Sunrise Nights By Jeff Zentner and Brittany Cavallaro

"Alexandra Hunter and Michael Crouch narrate the alternating perspectives of two talented teens, Jude and Florence. Together, they celebrate "sunrise night," a tradition of their Michigan arts camp. Hunter's portrayal of Florence has an undercurrent of sarcasm that is illuminated when Florence reveals that her dancing may end due to a worsening eye condition." - Audiofile Magazine
